How trading plans use your inputs

Gemifi's Plans workspace uses client records and your proposed actions to calculate planning alternatives. Start with Build a manual trading plan.

Inputs to review

Review the client's grants, holdings, recorded actions, income, expenses, balance sheet, and tax assumptions. Check the company's price, growth, volatility, and trading restrictions. A warning about missing company data is a reason to complete those inputs before interpreting the projection.

The manual builder's strategies can create a starting schedule for common action patterns. Inspect their dates and quantities against the issuer's actual restrictions and the client's goals.

Review the proposed actions

Open the saved result and inspect dates, quantities, grants/lots, prices, exercise costs, sale treatment, and tax assumptions. Keep Year-to-Date Actuals separate so completed transactions are not counted again as proposals.

Plan Library for opening saved plans

Keep the original version when testing changes, and use Compare plans. Check the Tax tab and Cashflow before selecting a recommendation.

If an older guide shows different controls

Use Create manual plan in the current Plan Library. Older instructions about automatic generation, Submit, or Freeze may describe an earlier workflow. Contact Chat with us if you need help interpreting an existing older saved plan.

A planning result does not guarantee the best outcome, account for every client restriction, or execute a trade. ESPP holdings should be reviewed through the manual ESPP workflow.
