A manual plan lets you choose the timing and quantity of proposed equity actions, then review their cash, tax, and concentration effects.
Prepare the inputs
Reconcile the client's equity, income, and tax profile. Review company prices, growth assumptions, volatility, and trading windows. Missing company information is flagged above the client tabs.
Create or open a plan
Open the client → Plans → Build.
In Plan Library, select Create manual plan.
Gemifi creates an empty manual plan. Use its Rename control to give it a descriptive name.
To reopen an existing plan, use its View control.
Add proposed actions
Open Equity Inventory and expand the relevant holdings or option group.
Review the grant or lot, then click an available inventory card or drag it into the plan calendar.
In Add to Plan, review the action type, quantity, FMV, and date. Check the available quantity and earliest usable date.
Review the tax preview, then save the action to the draft plan.
Switch between Annual and Quarterly views as needed. Expand an action card to review price, basis, gains, and other details. Use Edit action to revise it or Remove action to remove it from that plan.
Strategies offers shortcuts for common action patterns. Review every generated action after applying a strategy, including quantities, dates, available shares, and any warning.
Check the whole plan
Review Taxes for the selected tax year.
Review Concentration Impact.
Check Plan Details and the tax-bracket timeline.
Review Year-to-Date Actuals so already recorded transactions are not added again as proposed actions.
Select Save when the unsaved-changes bar appears. Use Save As to preserve a separate version. Reopen the saved plan from the library to check it.
Use Duplicate before exploring a substantially different version. Set the intended reference plan using Set [name] as primary plan. Primary status is separate from client-portal sharing; the primary plan cannot be deleted while it remains primary.
Next, compare plans, review Cashflow and Tax, then prepare the client deliverable. A saved plan models proposed activity; it does not execute trades.
