Income is entered in the client's Profile. These records support planning, cashflow, and tax estimates.
Add an income stream
Open Clients and select the client.
Choose Profile.
In Income, select Add Income.
Choose the income type, such as Salary, Self-employment, Pension, Distribution, or Bonus.
Complete the fields shown for that income type. For Salary, review the income name, annual amount, owner, timing, and annual increase.
Select Save.
Use the annual amount requested by the form. For example, do not enter a monthly salary into an Annual amount field without converting it.
Edit existing income
Use the edit control on the relevant income card. Check the owner and end date as well as the amount: a stream ending in the wrong year can distort future projections.
After saving, review the appropriate year in Cashflow and Tax. If a tax scenario still shows different values, review its saved assumptions or its Pull income from plan source.
Avoid duplicate income
Reconcile salary and bonus entries with equity compensation already generated from grants or plan activity. Do not add a second record solely to force a result to match before identifying the underlying difference.
