Use this checklist to go from client data to a plan you can discuss with your client. You can return to any step as new information becomes available.
1. Set up the client and company
Confirm that you are in the correct workspace.
Collect the client's equity records. Include grant agreements, vesting schedules, holdings, and completed transactions.
Add equity or use CSV import.
2. Complete the Profile
Open the client and select Profile. Review income, household expenses, balance sheet, stock assumptions, and tax information. Add employment and residency dates that match the client's records.
Start with income and tax inputs. A missing assumption can change every downstream projection.
3. Review the current position
Use Analysis for the overview and Equity for grants, holdings, upcoming vests, and expiration dates. Reconcile the totals with the source records before modeling transactions.
4. Build and compare alternatives
Compare plans to review proceeds, taxes, and concentration.
Review Cashflow to check the timing of cash needs.
Use the Tax tab for annual, multi-year, and scenario comparisons.
5. Prepare the client conversation
Configure a client deliverable in Reports. Review the PDF, selected plans, assumptions, and disclosure before sharing. If your workspace uses the client portal, invite the client and choose their access.
Screenshots throughout these guides use a Demo client. Your figures and available controls depend on your data and workspace permissions.
