Manage workspace users and permissions

Workspace access determines which firm data a user can see and which changes they can make. Client-portal access is managed separately.

Open access management

  1. Confirm the active workspace.

  2. Open your user menu at the lower left.

  3. Select Access.

  4. Review the current users before adding or removing access.

An admin should manage membership and review any seat-billing prompt before confirming a change. Assign the role that matches the person's responsibilities.

Add a user

On Users, select Create. Enter the email, first name, and last name. Choose Admin or Advisor, review Is Active, then select Save when ready to create access. Review any billing confirmation before proceeding.

Admin and Advisor differ

Admins manage workspace users and settings. Current access controls reserve the following changes for admins:

  • Creating, editing, or deleting grant actions.

  • Editing or deleting grant details.

  • Managing client-portal access.

  • Deleting clients or companies.

  • Managing other users and workspace membership.

Advisors can use permitted client and planning workflows, but should not expect every admin control. A user can edit their own account where supported.

Remove access carefully

Use the user's membership/access controls and review the confirmation before removing access. Recheck the member list afterward. Review Billing for the current seat count and subscription effect rather than assuming a particular refund or billing date.

If a control is missing

First check the selected workspace and your role. Ask an admin to perform a restricted change or contact Chat with us if the role appears wrong.

For clients, use Invite a client to the portal. For sign-in problems, see Recover account access.
