Sales Priority helps compare held equity lots. The displayed score runs from 1 to 100; higher scores identify stronger candidates to review for sale first.
What drives it
The score considers tax treatment, expected tax cost, net proceeds, holding-period timing, and concentration impact. A lot's score can change as its dates, price assumptions, and the client's position change.
Find the score
Open the client → Equity → Current Holdings. Review the Sales Priority column alongside acquisition date, quantity, basis, and capital-gain treatment. The manual builder also offers Sales Priority as an inventory ordering choice.
Use it in a plan
Reconcile the lot's quantity and basis with source records.
Review acquisition dates and the intended sale date.
Model the sale in a manual trading plan.
Compare the after-tax proceeds, concentration, and cash timing with an alternative plan.
A higher score does not mean the sale should automatically occur. Consider client goals, liquidity, trading restrictions, and the value of waiting before recommending a transaction.
