Choose the award type shown in the source documents. The type determines which inputs and planning actions are relevant.
Restricted awards
RSUs are restricted stock units. Review the grant and vesting schedule, delivered shares, withholding, and any double-trigger condition. See RSU planning.
PSUs are performance stock units. Review the performance conditions and the quantity/schedule being modeled; an estimated payout is not a confirmed award outcome. See PSU planning.
Stock options
ISOs are incentive stock options. Record strike price, expiration, vesting, exercises, and sales. Review AMT and disposition treatment when planning. See ISO planning.
NQOs, also called NQSOs or nonqualified stock options, have their own exercise and tax treatment. See NQO planning.
Employee stock purchase plans
ESPP records use purchase lots. Offering and purchase dates, prices, FMV, and plan type matter to the lot's treatment. See ESPP planning.
Keep the quantities distinct
Granted describes the award. Vested reflects the vesting conditions modeled to date. Held is the remaining stock position after relevant activity. Unexercised options are not the same as stock already owned.
Reconcile shares sold or withheld before treating vested shares as current holdings. Use Add equity and record completed transactions to maintain the inputs.
